Terms of Use
These are the terms of use for online engagement on how to improve First Nation elementary and secondary education for students living on reserve. The goal is to encourage an open, honest and sustained dialogue between Canadians on this very important topic.
These terms of use are designed to allow all users to participate. Disagreements and constructive arguments are welcome as part of the discussions; however, abusive or insulting comments are prohibited.
By choosing to participate in this online engagement, you are indicating that you accept these terms of use.
Please keep in mind the views of participants do not necessarily represent the views of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, the National Panel or the Government of Canada.
Participation Requirements and Guidelines
- Participants are required to register and provide a valid email account before posting any ideas, comments, ratings or submissions.
- Posted submissions and comments are expected to be on topic and relevant to the section in which they are posted (as defined by the themes for discussion).
- Ascentum Inc., on behalf of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, reserves the right to remove comments that:
- Express racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, slanderous, insulting or life threatening messages
- Put forward serious, unproven or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations
- Are aggressive, rude, coarse, violent, obscene, profane or pornographic in nature
- Are offensive or abusive to an individual or organization
- Are intended for advertising or promotional purposes
- Are unintelligible or irrelevant messages
- Are threads or spamming, and will not add to the normal flow of the consultation as determined by the moderators.

- Submissions must meet the requirements outlined in the submission guidelines.
- Duplicate or highly similar submissions may not be posted or may be posted to a separate category or section of the website.
- Off-topic submissions will not be posted, nor included in our analysis. (Note: Off-topic discussion posts and submissions include those that are not directly related to the stated discussion topics, focus and/or questions.)
Additional Terms of Use: Idea forum
- Ascentum Inc., on behalf of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada will monitor and review posted comments and may participate or intervene, as appropriate.
- Duplicate or highly similar idea forum posts may not be posted or may be posted to a separate category or section of the website.
- Off-topic posts will be moved to an off-topic category in the idea forum and will not be included in our analysis. (Note: Off-topic posts may include information that is not directly related to the stated discussion topics, focus and/or questions.)
In accordance with these terms of use, the moderators reserve the right to remove any message, in whole or in part. Anyone acting contrary to these terms of use may be temporarily or permanently excluded from the dialogue spaces on the site.
